Topics include data, descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, interval estimation, hypothesis testing, variance, regression, forecasting, nonparametric methods, and decision analysis. The text emphasizes applications--especially applications of data analysis--and assumes mathematical knowledge only at the level of algebra.
