   Book Review

From School Library Journal
YA-Introductions to both of the screenplays provide some historical background and thoughts about the movie trilogy from the perspectives of people who were involved with the first release of the films. Changes in technology are noted, as is how these advances might effect scenes if shot now. The scripts are accompanied by small black-and-white drawings of action scenes, include action direction, and feature far less text than the Star Wars novels that are so popular. They should appeal to reluctant readers who may then feel the force and want to read the more substantial novels. Avid Star Wars aficionados will enjoy perusing the screenplays for details and lines, as well as directional inserts.Pam Johnson, Fairfax County Public Library, VACopyright 1998 Reed Business Information, Inc.

Book Description
A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY . . .

"It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial Troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy."

INTERIOR: GANTRY--OUTSIDE CONTROL ROOM--REACTOR SHAFT

Luke moves along the railing and up to the control room. Vader lunges at him and Luke immediately raises his lit sword to meet Vader's.

VADER: If you only knew the power of the dark side. Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.
LUKE: He told me enough! He told me you killed him.
VADER: No. I am your father. Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
