This first volume of the Edge of Victory series is set 25 years after the events of the original Star Wars movie. In the New Jedi Order, the Star Wars galaxy is threatened by the Yuuzhan Vong, a humanoid species who have been traveling in organic world ships from another galaxy for countless years and who are on a religious quest to destroy all non-organic machines. They have already conquered half of the galaxy by the time this series begins.
