It was a very lucky day for me when Kate Wilhelm came into the office. I found her so charming, I couldn't wait to read one of her books, and I started with FOR THE DEFENSE. It is, quite simply, a wonderful book with engaging characters and an unique and intricate plot that kept me guessing to the very (unpredictable) end. I immediately read all Kate's other books, and now look forward to each new one.
