From Literary Times
When Emily Fairchild first encounters the dashing Earl of Blackmore, she never dreams that the chance meeting would change her life forever. Yet as a rector's daughter, Emily knows she has no future with Jordan Blackmore. However, when Emily is trapped in a masquerade by her best friend's father, the playing field becomes more even. Emily becomes Lady Emma Campbell, a very eligible and acceptable debutante. And when "Emma" encounters Lord Blackmore, it is all she can do to keep up the charade, especially since he is determined to reveal the truth. The charade must continue in spite of her feelings for Blackmore. But will it ever end? Will she forever be destined to a forbidden love? The chemistry between Emily and Lord Blackmore is refreshing. They are well-matched, adding a dimension of both sexuality and humor. It's not often that we find such a sensible, strong female character. Emily not only has a firm backbone, but she is also full of fire. Amy Wilson -- Copyright © 1999 Literary Times, Inc. All rights reserved

About the Author
After a patchwork of jobs like technical writing and teaching, I have decided that my favorite job so far (even more than manning the ice cream machine at a summer camp) is novel writing. In novels, I can meddle in people's lives without getting into trouble, and that's what I live for.The rest of the time I enjoy meddling in the lives of my son and my husband, who show their appreciation by sending me back to the computer as much as possible. I also enjoy traveling (either in real-time or on the Internet), reading books by other meddling authors, and going out to dinner or for ice cream (I can't let go of that summer camp job!).

Author Biography: I became a romance writer when my burning desire towrite fiction won out over my dubious aspiration to becomean English professor. I tamed to my secret passion-romance novels-and have never looked back. The fifteennovels I've written under the names Deborah Martin,
Deborah Nicholas, and Sabrina Jeffries have been both fan and maddening to create, although they've won their share of awards along the way.I now write full time, which delights my husbandand son, who prefer to have me at home rather than outwreaking havoc on die unsuspecting community, Plus,I make a killer gumbo between chapters, even if I do needlessons in Housekeeping 101.
