About the Author
Gary Schneider is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the University of San Diego School of Business. He has written widely on accounting and systems topics. Gary's work has appeared in a number of journals including Interfaces, the IS Audit & Control Journal and the Journal of Information Systems. He is active in the American Accounting Association and currently serves as editor of its Accounting Information Systems and Technology Reporter and as Webmaster of its Public Interest section. Gary holds a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Tennessee, an MBA in accounting from Xavier University, and a BA in economics from the University of Cincinnati. He is a CPA and practiced public accounting in Ohio for fourteen years before undertaking his academic career.
