This fantasy is the final book in the "Troll King" trilogy. This series takes the reader into a world of trolls, gnomes, and ogres. In Troll Treasure the new King Rollo must lead his group of strange friends through fiery rivers in search of the treasure his ancestors left in the hands of the elves. Rollo needs this mysterious treasure to free his father and country from the evil grasp of the sorcerer, Stygius. To do this, Rollo and his friends must unite with long-time adversaries, the elves, as well as keep each other safe from various other conflicts along the way. This book is filled with action and unforgettable characters. Young adults who enjoy adventures like Lord of the Ring will enjoy this book and find it an easier read. And just like many books that deal with forces of good and evil, the suspense lies in discovering if evil or good will rule the land. 2003, Aladdin Library, Ages 12 up.
