Over 120 well-known people living in Wales or who have strong links with Wales have chosen a favourite poem and given reasons for their choice. The result is a richly diverse collection of poetry in English and Welsh, from George Herbert to John Betjeman, from Bishop William Morgan to R. Williams Parry, from Wordsworth to R.S. Thomas, from Rhys Prichard to Saunders Lewis. The accompanying comments, varying in style and character, provide an intriguing, and often moving, commentary to the poems. The anthology contains 24 original illustrations donated by the Printmakers of Wales.
