Explosive Lifting for Sports

FROM THE PUBLISHER

The movements used in competitive weightlifting -- the snatch, clean, jerk, and their variations -- can make you a more powerful athlete. Explosive Lifting for Sports shows how to make these exercises an important part of your own sports training program. This book takes a detailed look at the safest, most effective learning progressions for the snatch, clean, jerk, pulling assistance exercises, squats, and other lifts. Learn how to perform each lift safely with step-by-step instructions on developing the power you need to excel in your sport. The sport-specific power-development programs will teach you how to become stronger, faster, and more powerful in football, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, ice hockey, track and field, wrestling, racket sports, or competitive weightlifting. Most coaches and athletes today agree that resistance training creates stronger, faster players who are more resistant to injury. Improve your performance on the field or court and develop explosive whole-body power with Explosive Lifting for Sports.
