From Booklist
For veterinarian Lily Munroe, running in the grueling 10-day, 1,110-mile Iditarod was challenging enough without having to compete against tall, dark, and annoying playboy-rancher Derek Wright. But flirtatious Derek is determined to prove that he is the only man for Lily. Of course, once Derek wins Lily over, he has to tell her about his other career as a secret agent for T-FLAC, a privately funded black ops antiterrorist group. When Lily becomes the victim of several mysterious, potentially deadly mishaps during the race, Derek must find a way to keep the adorably stubborn woman he loves safe--and convince her that they belong together. Adair skillfully builds the sexual chemistry between Lily and Derek into some intensely sensual love scenes that are hot enough to melt frozen tundra as she brings her popular series featuring the men of T-FLAC into hardcover. For readers who crave sexy, suspenseful love stories, On Thin Ice's bracing mix of passion and danger will be irresistible. John Charles

On Thin Ice FROM THE PUBLISHER
Lily Munroe thought she had married an honest, dependable man, but she was painfully mistaken. It didn't take long for her once-loving husband to become a secretive stranger-mixing with shady people and even shadier dealings. Although Lily nursed him through a sudden terminal illness, her marriage was over long before he passed away. During that difficult time, only her passion for the exhilarating Iditarod race across Alaska gave her something to look forward to-and she channeled her emotions into training dogs for the grueling event. Now single again, she's more determined than ever to win the race, awaken her sense of self, and leave her past behind.
In the competition, the person to beat is two-time winner Derek Wright, a man Lily dubs Mr. Wrong. Extremely sexy and devilishly charming, Derek is the consummate playboy. Or is he? Although Lily can't deny her intense attraction, she believes he is dangerous to her scarred heart. Little does she know that Derek is an elite antiterrorism agent-or how desperately she'll need to depend on his skills to keep her alive once the race is under way.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
The first book I picked up by Cherry Adair was Kiss and Tell, the only reason
why I wanted to read it was I liked the title. I was surprised on how much I
enjoyed her book. After Kiss and Tell, I waited for her new books to arrive.
I was pleased with all of them, including her new book, On Thin Ice. I was
thrilled when I received an advance copy of On Thin Ice, which was
entertaining and fascinating. Though I am not planning on joining the
Iditarod in Alaska, I enjoyed reading about it. Cherry Adair made me feel as
if I were actually there with the characters. Lily Munroe was a heroine that
did not go screaming at the first sign of trouble. She was strong, witty, and
still managed to capture the attention of the sexy, Derek Wright. She faced
her problems head on, even when they were life threatening. Derek Wright, a
member of the T-FLAC, was just as strong, passionate, and did not shy away
from his feelings. He wanted Lily, wanted her for years, and he was going to
get her. This amazing book is filled with everything a reader could enjoy. It
has the mystery and suspense, the intrigue, the action, and of course the
romance. It is a page-turner and a must read. Sehar Sheikh
I have to confess: I love Cherry Adair's books. I
expected to love the book and I do. It caught my attention right away. In books,
most female Vets aren't large animal doctors so I liked that immediately.
It's a steamy summer in Minnesota so reading about
the cold in Alaska was interesting and different; most romances take place in
the tropics than the middle of a snowstorm.
This is a fast paced, exciting story that switches
back & forth between the points of view of both Lily and Derek (as soon as
you know it's about a Wright brother you know it's gonna be good). I
enjoyed the way Derek uses some of his hi-teck toys to keep track of Lily on the
trail. It's always fun to "catch up" with the brothers from other
stories.
I enjoyed the book and, as always, will
look forward to the next Cherry Adair I can delve into. Kathy Iverson
Thank you very much for selecting me to read the advanced edition of ON THIN ICE. I have read all of Cherry Adair's books and have enjoyed them all tremendously.
I did enjoy ON THIN ICE. Ms Adair's writing style is interesting, fast paced and enjoyable. To place the story in Alaska for the Iditarod was an interesting choice.
