Philip Gould confirms his own part in the renaissance with the 125 stunning portraits in Louisiana Faces. Gould￯﾿ﾽs lively, poignant photographs capture a range of personalities in timeless settings that mirror the larger culture whether masked riders in a Cajun carnival or jazzmen playing a street funeral. About the Authors: Philip Gould is a documentary photographer who has made Louisiana his home and favorite subject for more than two decades. Based in Lafayette, he has published numerous pictorial books on the state, including The Louisiana Houses of A. Hays Town, Louisiana￯﾿ﾽs Capitols: The Power and the Beauty, and Cajun Music and Zydeco.
