Marigold Pottersby is hanging onto her father's failing San Bernandino copper mine by the skin of her teeth when she discovers Martin Tafft plans to use it in his new film. Realizing a hefty rental fee may be the answer to her prayers, Mari agrees to let filming beginbut she balks at the offer of a role. That is, until Tony Ewing, the sone of one of Lovejoy's heaviest investorys, shows up to investigate the progress of the latest picture. A dyed-in-the-wool Easterner, Tony has no use for the West, and Mari's convinced he'll have no use for her, though at least while she's on the set, she'll have a chance to get an eyeful of him.
