From Publishers Weekly
Spicy romance compensates for weak suspense in the third installment of bestseller Martin's Sinclair Sisters series (after Midnight Sun and Desert Heat). In the midst of investigating the condemnation of a city apartment building, Manhattan newspaper reporter Hope Sinclair gets pulled by her editor from that assignment and sent to Pleasure Island, near Jamaica, to chronicle the efforts of a treasure hunting team searching for priceless cargo from a Spanish ship that sank 400 years earlier. Near Pleasure Island, Hope boards the Conquest, the ship from which divers are conducting their search. Conner "Conn" Reese, treasure hunter and former Navy SEAL, is the primary player in the expedition. The close quarters of the Conquest serve to throw together Hope and Conn, two people jaded from previous disastrous relationships. Sexy romance sizzles between the pair in numerous love scenes. Unfortunately, the plot involving Conn's financial partner, who warns Hope away from continuing her research into the New York apartment house, is both predictable and underdeveloped, and the suspenseful action promised by the back cover copy never gets off the ground. From Booklist
Journalist Hope Sinclair is pulled off a promising story about a conspiracy to buy out a retirement home that is standing in the way of a new development and dispatched to the Caribbean to write a series of stories about a treasure hunt involving a sunken Spanish galleon. Worried about Buddy, the elderly man who owned the retirement home, Hope hires a private investigator. Meanwhile, Hope finds herself intensely attracted to Conner Reese, the impressive leader of the treasure-hunting expedition, but she has vowed to steer clear of romance after a betrayal. He, too, is smitten but reluctant after a disastrous marriage to a gold digger destroyed his dream of building a tropical resort. Then, as bits of treasure are found, the danger level rises to a shoot-'em-up climax. The final book in Martin's trilogy about the Sinclair sisters is full of treasure-hunting information and, thanks to Hope's concern about Buddy, touching moments. Diana Tixier Herald

Deep Blue FROM OUR EDITORS
The Barnes & Noble Review
Greed, revenge, and passion swirl in Kat Martin's contemporary romantic thriller, the last in a trilogy (Desert Heat, Midnight Sun) featuring the Sinclair sisters. The action starts as reporter Hope Sinclair finds that her exposᄑ on the plight of a retirement home results in a trashed apartment, scary phone calls, and reassignment to a sister publication. The new assignment seems plush enough -- covering the quest for buried Spanish treasure off Pleasure Island in the Caribbean -- but is it meant to shut her up? Hope's interviews with the handsome but unfriendly salvage director, Connor Reese, a former Navy SEAL, set off sparks from the beginning. Still, their passionate nights will never lead to anything more if Connor can't outmaneuver the dangerous men who threaten Hope's life. Ginger Curwen

For reporter Hope Sinclair, writing about the recovery of a sunken Spanish treasure off Pleasure Island should be her big chance. But Hope canᄑt help feeling that sheᄑs been hand-picked for this job for all the wrong reasons. Someone wants Hope out of New York and off the story that could blow a corruption case wide open. If they think sending her to paradise will shut her up, theyᄑve got another thing coming.
Hopeᄑs subject, treasure hunter Conner Reese, isnᄑt happy to have her along for the ride. He doesnᄑt need the publicity, nor does he want an incredibly tempting redhead on board, driving his crew -- and himself -- to distraction. But thereᄑs something else, too. As a former Navy SEAL, Conner can sense extreme danger, and danger is following Hope Sinclair very, very closelyᄑ
Now, in the deceptively serene beauty of a sultry Caribbean paradise, Hope and Conner are moving ever closer to finding a priceless Incan relic, and diving deeper into waters more treacherous than they could possibly imagineᄑ
