About the Author
Allan M. Armitage is professor of horticulture at the University of Georgia, Athens, where he teaches, conducts research, and runs the research gardens. His publications include eight other books and more than 250 articles and papers. He travels widely as a lecturer and consultant and has received numerous awards from nursery trade groups and horticultural organizations, including the Medal of Honor from the Garden Club of America, the Award of Merit from the Perennial Plant Society, and the American Horticultural Society Teaching Award. Judy M. Laushman received her bachelor of science in horticulture from Iowa State University. She has been the executive director of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, Inc., since its inception in 1988 and is editor of The Cut Flower Quarterly.
