From Library Journal
Published in 1954, 1966, and 1973, respectively, all of these volumes are set in Bennett's Island, ME, and all are essentially the love stories of women who come to the island either looking for love or trying to get away from it. Though LJ's reviewer found Strawberries "light reading," the book nonetheless was praised for capturing the "atmosphere of the small island and the character of its people."
