The Rainbow's Foot
One of the most mesmerizing women to ever grace historical fiction, Fool's Gold Smith is the central figure in Denise Dietz Wiley's lusty, compelling,
generational saga. Equally memorable is John "Cat" McDonald, rodeo star and
movie hero a la Tom Mix. Vast in scope, rich in detail, The Rainbow's Foot encompasses the Cripple Creek gold rush, the Ludlow Massacre, and
Cororado's silent film industry.
FROM THE CRITICS
Affaire de Coeur
The Rainbow's Foot is bigger than romance. It deserves a place in the archives of great fiction. Ms. Wiley, as determined and unflagging as her heroines and heroes, will certainly carve herselve a place in the halls of the finest writers of the era. A memorable piece of fine literature.
Under the Covers
A historical saga set in Colorado, The Rainbow's Foot is a love story with a cast of characters that exhibits all the human virtues and vices and is a compelling read. It's impossible to condense a great book into a couple of paragraphs, but this book has it all: passion, danger, excess, crime, greed, suffering, hate, misunder-standings, and love, great and lasting love (not to mention the obvious love the author has for her subjects).
BookBrowser Review
The Rainbow's Foot is a labor of love. Ms. Wiley is one of those marvelous people who believe in themselves enough to triumph over all sorts of obstacles to attain their dream, even if that dream is at The Rainbow's Foot.
Romance Communications
A story told as though it was fact and not fiction. Daring in scope, determined in it's course, as gritty and wild a ride as any bronco could deliver. Cinch the girth tightly, no amateurs allowed!

Magnificent (Mary Ellen Johnson, author of The Murder of Jacob)!

Ms. Wiley's complicated characters give depth and meaning to the story as they struggle with their all too human foibles. I find myself thinking of them as part of a family I have come to know well.
