About the Author
Lou Dean grew up in Osage County Oklahoma in the era of the one-room school house and the two-hole outhouse. She graduated from Ponca City High Shcool and attended Oklahoma State University. Her work has appeared in more than fifty magazines during her career as a freelance writer. Her award-winning first book, Angels in Disguise, has created a new reality about animals and the part they play in our lives. A teacher and speaker, Lou Dean now lives on Blue Mountain near Dinosaur, Colorado where she loves to explore the hills with her Jackass, Jesse James, and her Border Collie dogs.
