About the Author
Lise Meloche is a two-time Olympian, exercise physiologist, and one of the best technical skiers in the country. Lise spent ten years on both the National Biathlon and Cross country ski teams. Her accomplishments include a World Cup third overall ranking in1986 and World Cup Gold Medal in 1991. Lise was a pioneer in women's biathlon and has won numerous titles including Canadian, American, and Swiss Championships. She continues to compete as a pro elite skier and coaches high performance athletes. David McMahon is an elite competitor in biathlon, cross-country skiing, and mountain running. He is twice an overall winner of the Canada Cup biathlon series and has five National Biathlon Championship Medals to his credit including the Canadian Championship title in 1993. Once ranked in the top three in the World for summer biathlon, David has since concentrated on cross-country ski racing. He was the Top North American on the World Loppet Ski Racing circuit in 1997, and seventh at the World Master's Championships in 1998. Both David and Lise have coached at the Olympic level, and regularly conduct masters ski camps each year, in Old Chelsea, Quebec.
