About the Author William L. Biersach was born in Pasadena, California, on the Feast Day of St. Philip Neri, the "Laughing Saint", in 1953. A product of Catholic grammar and high school, he naturally lost his Faith when the effects of Vatican II came rattling through the world like a maniacal jalopy in the 1960's and 70's. He found his way back to Traditional Rome in 1993 and has been active in trying to reacquaint Catholics with their own religion ever since. Meanwhile, he found a niche at the USC School of Music where he has been teaching recording technology and popular music courses for twenty-seven years. He received the Gamma Sigma Alpha "Professor of the Year" Award in 1997; and his courses on the Beatles and "classic rock" have attracted the attention of CNN, Prime Time Live, Channel One, and Rolling Stone Magazine. He wrote a series of articles entitled "Sach on the Rocks" for JOURNAL SEAMUS (The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) and, closer to his heart, penned a pamphlet entitled Of Mary There Is Never Enough which was published by Catholic Treasures in 1995. He and his colleague, Charles A. Coulombe, have produced a series of taped lectures entitled "Catholic Fireside Chats" through the same organization. His comprehensive discourse on The Litany of Loreto remains one of their best-sellers. In a musical vein, he has one album in production and two albums in post-production which he hopes to release independently sometime next year. The Endless Knot is the first of his Father Baptist novels to see the light of day. He is currently working on the rough draft for the fourth in the series. He resides in a stone house somewhere in Southern California, likes spicy food, and hopes to retire in Heaven some day.
