Gr 2-4-These books have large print; two-page, easy-to-read chapters; very limited facts; and a picture on every page. Black-and-white and full-color photographs, drawings, reproductions, simple maps, and time lines illustrate the texts. Reproductions of small-print news articles, a diploma, and book covers are primarily fillers. Fact boxes are highlighted in green and captions in yellow, and there is liberal use of white space. The information in these volumes is easily obtainable in encyclopedia articles and other sources.-Rita Soltan, Oakland University, Rochester, MI Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
