No Fear Skills books are intended for high school and middle school students who feel hopelessly behind in class, who have had the material explained to them before and who still don't get it. Students who are so far behind they are afraid to turn to their teacher for help. What these students need is a tutor-a patient voice that can explain the material simply and effectively without leaving them behind. The books in this series are that tutor. No Fear Skills books will present basic skills and concepts in quick, concise lessons, presenting the material in such a way that students can easily find an explanation for a particular topic they are having difficulty with. No Fear Skills books will be narrated in the voice of a fictional character that will introduce each chapter by telling a short vignette that segues into the lesson.
