About the Author Karen Haber is a respected journalist and an accomplished fiction writer; her short fiction has appeared in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Full Spectrum 2, and Women of Darkness. The J.R.R. Tolkien tribute volume that she edited, Meditations on Middle Earth-a collection of essays by some of fantasy's best-known writers-was nominated for the prestigious Hugo Award. Most recently, she edited Exploring the Matrix, a collection of essays by some of science fiction's top writers that examine the popular film series. Jonathan Strahan is the award-winning editor of The Year's Best Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy anthology series, co-founder and editor of Eidolon: The Journal of Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy, and publisher of The Coode Street Press. He has won the Australian National Science Fiction Achievement Award on several occasions and is the recipient of the William Atheling Jr Award for Criticism and Review. He is the Reviews Editor for Locus: The Magazine of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Field, and is co-editor of The Locus Awards: 30 Years of the Best in Science Fiction and Fantasy.
