My Grandmother and Me: A Memory Scrapbook FROM THE PUBLISHER
These Memory Scrapbooks are a great way for kids and their grandparents to collect and record their memories, as well as a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, They'll spend many hours together filling in names to complete a family tree or noting each other's likes, dislikes, talents and traits. Each book features playful illustrations and plenty of space to paste in photos, to write and to draw. There's even a pocket at the back to keep letters, secrets and souvenirs plus a punch-out space on the front cover for that special photo of a grandparent and child.
FROM THE CRITICS
Patricia Monaco - Napra Review
Colorful little write-in workbooks for recording special moments and favorite things kids like to do with their grandparents---cherished keepsakes for the later years.
Children's Literature - Kristin Harris
In workbook style, kids are invited to gather information about one of their grandmothers. Pictures, fingerprints and locks of hair can be collected, as well as stories and memories. A family tree is provided that can be completed. There is a fun, warm rhythm to the questions, emphasizing how much child and grandparent have in common. Favorite places, favorite activities, even scents that remind us of the grandmother can be noted. This is such a great idea. An extension of the baby book concept, any child/grandmother relationship would be enhanced by this kind of sharing of personal information. It is unfortunate that somehow multiple grandmothers couldn't be included in this great little book.
