About the Author
Laura Evert has a degree in journalism and is a nature book editor and freelance writer of several wildlife publications. She has written four other children's books for NorthWord Press: Eagles, Sharks, Whitetail Deer, and Wolves. She lives in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Illustrator Linda Garrow has degrees in fine and commercial arts. She has illustrated other books for NorthWord Press, including Frogs, Toads and Turtles; Tracks, Scats and Signs; Caterpillars, Bugs and Butterflies; Rabbits, Squirrels and Chipmunks; Snakes, Salamanders and Lizards; and Trees, Leaves and Bark. She lives in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
