Gwenyth Swain is the author of a dozen books for children, including biographies of Johnny Appleseed, women's rights activist Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Underground Railroad conductor Levi Coffin. Ms. Swain lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. Cerie Winner has a Ph.D. in Zoology and has written on wildlife and nature topics for many magazines and newspapers. She lives in Grand Junction, Colorado.
