It is refreshing to find an author who is not concerned with apologetics and tells it the way he sees it. Steinsaltz does not attempt to argue for or demonstrate the kabbalistic view he operates in and with. It is as if he is saying to the reader "Here is the kabbalistic world view. Step in and inhabit it. If you find it to be comfortable, then make it your own and live by it."
