Tarzan Versus Predator: At the Earth's Core

FROM OUR EDITORS

I'm the first to frown at some of these multitheme/cross-genre jobbies that mix old creative property with modern Hollywood archetypes. But I stand corrected on this project. Tarzan versus Predator didn't strike me as something that might knock my socks off (mixing the Lord of the Jungle with extraterrestrial hunters made as much sense as mixing salsa with braised quail tenders in mustard sorrel sauce). But then I read this book and quickly saw its craft, and.... Has anybody seen my socks? In vivid, spectacular artwork and thoughtful scripting, a radio distress transmission buzzes Tarzan from Pellucidar, the very center of the Earth, for some much-needed help. But help against what? You guessed it. And care to speculate who finances the trip? The good old U.S.-of-A., suspecting the Germans and/or the Soviets. Seems the greatest noblemen of Pellucidar are being found minus major parts. Tarzan doesn't dig this one bit. So not only he, but also the dinosaurs of the secret nexus as well as some local backup take on the otherworldly SOBs. Wanna know what happens in the end? Hey, you have to check it out yourself. But I don't think you'll be disappointed.
—Edward Lee
