A devoted advocate and educator of herbs, Rosemary Gladstar opened her own herb store in 1972 -- appropriately calling it "Rosemary's Garden" -- and has been sharing her love for herbs ever since. Known as an inspiration and mentor to many herbalists, Gladstar has edited the guides in the Natural Health Handbooks Series: Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Remedies for Men's Health, Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Remedies for Children's Health, Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for Reducing Stress & Anxiety, Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for Natural Beauty, Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for Longevity & Well-Being, and Rosemary Gladstar's Herbs for the Home Medicine Chest. She has also written the book, Herbal Healing for Women. Rosemary has reached many milestones in her life, for she's the founder and president of United Plant Savers, co-founder and director of Sage Mountain Herbal Retreat Center and Native Plant Preserve, director of the International Herb Symposium, co-director of the New England Women's Herbal Conference, and founder and former director of The California School of Herbal Studies. She has been an herbal education teacher at many colleges, universities, medical centers and conferences. Gladstar lives in northern Vermont and has twin daughters.
