From Booklist Hill's latest is part of the Sizzling Sands collection, marking the tenth year of BET/Arabesque books. Desiree broke off her engagement to Lincoln after losing their baby and learning she was no longer able to have to children. Five years later, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a recognized artist. Being "discovered" by a wealthy benefactor has provided the financial support, a full-time assistant, and a loft/gallery/residence to prepare for her first showing. Two weeks before the big day, her gallery burns and she loses everything. To help her deal with the shock and pain, her Howard University sorority sister sends her on vacation in Sag Harbor, finding accommodations at a recently opened bed-and-breakfast, which, unbeknownst to either woman, is owned by Lincoln. Soon old feelings take over. Meanwhile, back in New York, the fire is being investigated as arson, and Hill creates hot suspense in this engrossing love story.
