From Booklist Plus-size Velma Brighton feels uncomfortable in her form-fitting bridesmaid dress, but she'll do anything for her sister Alexis. Velma is attracted to Russ Harrington, the no--nonsense brother of the groom, and the light in his eyes when he sees her is reassuring until doubts creep in. Russ is attracted to Velma, but he hates her lack of self-confidence. Velma's persistent insecurities stem from her belief that her parents didn't love her or her sister. She has always tried to protect Alexis, but no one has helped her. Now it should be Velma's turn for love, if only the two stubborn people can commit. This is the second in Forster's Harrington brothers trilogy exploring the life and loves of the wealthy African American family from suburban Baltimore. Difficult to follow unless the first is read, it will please readers of the first installment, who will enjoy another go-round with the studly family, and await the third book, in which the third brother finds his destiny.
