Book Description The work of Rudolf Steiner uniquely combines esoteric teaching and practical suggestions for social development. Indeed, he is best known today for the application of his ideas in education, medicine, and agriculture. But none of this could have developed without the coherent and profound spiritual knowledge at the very heart of Steiners work. In Rosicrucian Wisdom one of his most complete introductions to modern spirituality Steiner speaks from the stream of Rosicrucianism. Rather than borrowing old ideas from historical tradition, however, Steiner contributes something completely new through his research. He presents the Rosicrucian path as appropriate for modern spiritual seekers, but warns that Rosicrucian teaching should not be taken as abstract theory. Instead of remaining only in the head or heart, spiritual ideas should reach into our daily activities, transforming every aspects of life. He goes on to describe many facets of spiritual truth, including the law of karma, life after death, how to develop spiritual vision, humanitys history and future, and much more.
About the Author RUDOLF STEINER (1861-1925) became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosophical scholar, particularly known for his work on Goethe's scientific writings. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he began to develop his earlier philosophical principles into an approach to methodical research of psychological and spiritual phenomena. His multifaceted genius has led to innovative and holistic approaches in medicine, philosophy, religion, education, special education (the Camphill movement), economics, agriculture (biodynamics), science, architecture, and the arts (drama, speech and eurythmy). In 1924 he founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which has branches throughout the world.
