About the Author
Sheldon F. Gottlieb, a native New Yorker, now a retired physiologist and professor of biological sciences, spent his adult life in the pursuit and dessemination of knowledge. Professionally, he taught undergraduate and graduate students and conducted research primarily on the biological effects of oxygen with the aim of using the knowledge for treating infectious diseases and brain injuries.
