In this post-doctoral project, Lipka seeks to collect and interpret some central material contributing to an understanding of the general nature, origin and later influence of Vergil's language in the Eclogues. The text is intended to be a clear and unbiased presentation of material which will be of use to scholars. Coverage includes word formation, adaptations, stylistic level, and personal names.
