Employers need to make six key decisions if they hope to lower their health care costs, Jack Bruner, a consultant with Hewitt Associates, advocated at the recent annual WorldatWork Conference in San Diego.
These key decisions--which include cost sharing, coverage, plan selection, provider selection, prescription therapies, and condition management--may be able to help lower costs by as much 45%, Bruner, Hewitt's global practice leader of health management, told those in attendance.
